Red Stag hunting in Patagonia - Our hunting program offers a very special hunt for some of the finest free-range Red Stag in Argentina. Hunting in the Mountain chains is one of the best places to be in contact with huge red stag trophies in Argentina, probably one of the last remaining areas of authentic wild open hunt in the world. The surrounding landscape includes open bushland, forests and lush green valleys irrigated by small creeks, set against a backdrop of high peaks. It is these rich pastures that concentrate the game, in particular the Red Stag that come here to feed. The Red Stag hunting season occurs from March till June, but the best time is during the rut—known in Argentina as “The Brama”, from March thru May with mid of March to mid of April being the peak of the roaring season.

The vast estancias with 2 areas covering 12.000 ha & 13.000 ha are entirely un-fenced and hunters typically encounter several herds of deer throughout the day. Each hunter is accompanied by one of our guides, with an intimate knowledge of the terrain. The rough terrain is only accessible by horse or walking. You will be departing the camp well before dawn. 

During the 5 day hunt you will have different possibilities on huge trophies – so you can select carefully the stag you want. 

The accommodation is in an old traditional hunting shack with an outdoor BBQ place and some seating in another barrack. It´s also possible that we are sleeping in a fly camp overnight when we have spotted a special stag. It´s more about hunting than comfort…

Beside of the stag hunting you can also add 1-2 days of fly fishing – most of my clients do it, and they all liked the experience of a 2-day fishing adventure with one night sleeping at the river…
